Dolpo to Mustang adventure trek is a very challenging camping trek in remote the West Nepal on the ancient Trans Himalayan Trade route. Dolpo and Mustang regions have similar landscapes but there are cultural differences. A journey to the remote areas between the Tibetan plateau and Dhaulagiri range is definitely a once in a life time experience for those willing to see side of the world which is barely known.

Trekking from Dolpo to Mustang is a true off the beaten track experience in Nepal as it is quite challenging due to high passes, arid landscapes and the remoteness in itself. Trekking for more than 3 weeks in this area requires a good fitness level and determination, as there is very little infrastructure. We will be accompanied by a group of ponies to transport all necessary food supplies, lodging and kitchen equipment for the duration of this trek. We begin trekking after a scenic 1/2 hour flight to a small air strip in Jhupal. We will go through the remote villages with their unique culture and get to the picturesque Phoksundo Lake – Nepal’s biggest lake. Further on from Phoksundo Lake we continue through high passes and mountain pastures, some of the world’s highest settlements with some of Nepal’s oldest monasteries and amazing views of Dhaulagiri and other Himalayan peaks. This region is not only known for its remoteness, rare wildlife including snow leopards, but also for its real Tibetan culture still practiced today, which the locals carried on from their ancestors. There is a saying that goes: ‘If you have been everywhere but not to Dolpo or Mustang then you have been nowhere.’
